- Hawks use the Expanded TPE to absorb more salary than sending out, which would hard cap them at the First Apron (already Hard-Capped prior to this trade)

EJ Liddell |

- Phoenix uses the Minimum Salary Exception to absorb Liddell’s salary as incoming trade salary of $0
- As a result, the Suns create a $2,847,240 TPE that can be used in the future. It will expire at the end of the Regular Season should they stay over the First Apron. Otherwise, it will expire on 7/29/25.
- Should Phoenix waive Liddell to drop to the necessary roster spots before the Regular Season (currently sitting at 16 Standard Contracts, one over the maximum), they will save $726,547 in salary in comparison to cutting Roddy. These savings are even greater in tax liability given their massive tax bill.
